Therapy and Psychological Services for Children, Adolescents, and Families

Linda Friedman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware as well as licensed under PSYPACT to practice telepsychology in 39 states.

 

Linda has been trained on the cutting-edge, gold standard treatments within the field of clinical psychology throughout her graduate studies at Nova Southeastern University. She completed her psychology internship at Terry Children's Center and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Delaware under the mentorship of Dr. Mary Dozier. During Linda’s training, she has developed expertise with evidence-based treatments, namely PCIT, TARGET, TF-CBT, Attachment and Bio-Behavioral Catch-up (ABC), DBT, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has extensive clinical experience in child/adolescent and adult populations, including juvenile justice, residential, intensive outpatient, inpatient, crisis, and day treatment settings. She also has various teaching and supervisory experiences related to psychology. Her current position includes working as the clinical supervisor of the Child and Adolescent Clinic at Drexel University’s Psychological Services Center. 

Therapy, Support, and Empowerment

Linda specializes in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, executive functioning difficulties (i.e. organization, planning, time management), and behavior problems (i.e. oppositional defiance, tantrums). Linda uses a collaborative, warm, and supportive approach to design and implement evidence-based interventions that work for each individual/family's needs. Approaches in treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approaches, Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and behavioral interventions. She has also completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training and utilizes mindfulness-based interventions when working with clients.
