Talk Therapy
Older Children, Adolescents, & Adults

Talk therapy is to enhance strengths and reduce concerns. We deliver evidence-based approaches and treatment for the presenting issues & concerns listed below:​

  • Mood and emotional problems (anxiety, depression, adjustment issues)

  • Trauma and Grief

  • Behavioral concerns (tantrums, defiance, anger management, ADHD)

  • Social skills challenges (trouble making and/or keeping friends)

Parent Strategizing

Including PCIT: As a parent of young children, I understand the joys and challenges of parenting kids. I work with parents to address any concerns and develop new and positive strategies for parenting their child(ren). 

Parent Strategizing can address the following areas: ​Anxiety, Anger Management, Behavior Concerns (temper tantrums), ​Developmental Concerns, Discipline strategies, Homework completion, Separation/Divorce, Social Challenges

Play Therapy

Play therapy is a type of therapeutic technique used with children that helps them express their feelings and thoughts in a way that is natural for children and best-suited for their developmental level. Throughout the course of play therapy, children learn coping skills to deal with emotional or behavioral stress and/or trauma. By allowing children to play in a safe environment children and work through emotional and/or behavioral stress that they may be experiencing.

This type of therapy has been found useful for many different issues, including (but not limited to): family problems (e.g., parental separation or divorce, sibling problems), victims of child abuse or other types of trauma, anxiety problems, depression, children who have learning disabilities, social issues, bed wetting, and children who are struggling with a broad array of emotional or behavioral issues.
